This course is intended for beginner photographers who own a digital camera or who are in the market for one but who are unsure of how to get the most out of their cameras. Day One will cover photography basics and Day Two will focus more on camera settings and how to’s associated with actually capturing photos. At the conclusion of the two-day course, students will be able to capture images that go beyond ‘snap shots’. With snap shots, one literally points and shoots, without consideration of things like backgrounds, posing, exposure, position of the lights (sun or artificial), where to focus, etc. These important considerations, among others, will be taught in this short two-session class. Students are encouraged to bring their own camera to class as well as a list of questions they might have about their camera and/or photography. This is helpful but not required to attend this class.
