In this class you will learn the copper foil method of making stained glass. You will be able to choose which design you would like to create from a variety of examples. More examples are available than just what’s shown in the picture. This is totally a hands-on class. There are a lot of steps to make a stained glass piece of art. You will learn how to cut the different colors of glass, you choose, into different shapes. Then you’ll grind it to make sure all the pieces fit together like a puzzle. When they all fit together, you’ll burnish copper foil to the outside edges of each piece. Finally you will solder the pieces together, making them into your very own piece of art! After some cleaning and polishing, it will finally be ready to take home with you and hang it! It sounds like a lot, but you can do it and you want to come back for another project!

Please wear closed toe shoes, and older clothes you won’t mind getting a little dirty, and/or bring an apron to class.
