FULL PROSPECTUS

Size Guidelines:

2 Dimensional Work: Minimum 24 inches on the shortest side. Maximum 7 feet tall  and 9 feet wide. (Measurements are excluding frame) In other words the minimum size is 24×24 inches for 2d work and 7×9 feet is the max- so you could enter something that is 24 inches by 9 feet.

Artwork must weigh 50lbs or less per hanging section. (if for example you submit a triptych, and each individual panel is 50lbs, that is acceptable)

3 Dimensional Work: If intended for a pedestal, 10 inch minimum – 30 inch maximum width, 36 inch maximum height. If intended for the floor- 7 feet tall/ 8 feet wide and 75lbs maximum. More if the item is on wheels. Your piece must be able to be moved without damaging our floor. We will probably have you deliver and set up heavy pieces.

Jewelry: We are looking for your large pieces! Send us that big broche or huge pendant. Jewelry size is pretty subjective so we’re leaving it up to you.
Other than that, there are no requirements. (you will need to supply a stand or frame your piece(s) )

Further Guidelines:

  • All media are welcome. NO REPRODUCTIONS! This is an originals only show
*limited edition photography/digital art prints (if you are working in digital media) and print-making such as woodblock prints are welcome.
  • All work must be for sale. The TCAC takes a 30% commission.
  • Work must be ready to hang or display. 2D work must be wired with D-Ring style hangers (not eyelets/screw eyes). (don’t just install two D-Rings-this makes hanging very difficult-add that wire!) Please avoid saw tooth hangers if possible. If you use sawtooth hangers, they must be attached to the frame firmly with screws or nails, not onto a cardboard backing (they fall off and we’ve had pieces damaged).
The TCAC reserves the right to reject any artwork that is unready to hang or display.
  • 2D Artwork must have finished sides or be framed. We recommend canvases be at least 1 1/2 inches deep for a professional look.
(this is to help you sell your piece. “Finished” work sells best)
  • All work must be labeled on the back (on a piece of painters tape is fine) with your name and title.
*We also recommend artists put their contact information/ business card on the back and to bring in extra business cards. (This show is about promoting YOU and your work).
  • Please label any boxes/cartons that you brought the work in with your name and contact info if you want them returned.
  • Loss and Damages: The Tri-County Arts Council will be insuring work during the show. This does not extend coverage to any damage during shipping or delivery, or for minor wear and tear on the submitted items. You will be asked to sign an inventory form and gallery contract when dropping off your work.
  • Unsold artwork pick up 4/29-5/29 Any pieces left after May 29th, 2024 will become the property of the Tri-County Arts Council. We’ll give you a receipt and it will go into the auction.

Here are some great tips for photographing your work (The easiest lighting option is to do it outside on a cloudy day)
