JCC Ceramics I course at Tri-County Arts Council

JCC Olean and Tri-County Arts Council are partnering to offer ART-1590 Ceramics I this Spring semester at the Arts Council’s Clay studio at 110 West State Street. The Course will be taught by Geraldine Nash Smith, MFA who has taught college level ceramics for many years. She works at both JCC and the Arts Council.

This course will cover hand building, wheel throwing, decorating, glazing, and firing of ceramics. The course will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:10pm to 6:05pm for 15 weeks,  January 19th to May 11th, 2022. Students will also have access to the clay studio during regular hours of operation.

There are currently openings for non-students to take this course either for credit or to audit. New York State residents must show proof of residency, and everyone must be fully vaccinated, including booster shots to attend in-person class with any SUNY course.

Audit cost for NYS residents UNDER age 60 is $749.70 plus $50.00 Studio Fee (this covers all clay, glazes, and firings).

Audit cost for NYS residents OVER age 60 is $98.90 plus $50.00 Studio fee
