Note from Dan:

“This photo was captured at our home in Allegany, NY on June 27, 2024.  I caught this male oriole flying from our oriole feeder.  I had recently moved the feeder so my wildflower garden would show in the background of my oriole photos.  That this oriole flew in front of the orange flowers was a pleasant surprise.

The variety of hues in the male orioles’ plumage this year has been amazing.  From very red orange to almost pure yellow males have been sighted.”
